Educational Training
For the benefit of the public
who are concerned about the promotion & protection of Human
Rights, the Centre conducts a certificate course titled
“Advanced Studies in Human Rights” which covers various
human rights issues using International Human Rights
Instruments and related laws in Sri Lanka in respect of
Human Rights.
Further the Centre offers its
resources for anyone conducting Human Rights awareness
programmes among students, community leaders, village
leaders etc.
Those interested can call over
the Centre for collaboration.

Training
The Centre offers for women
affected by violence and are to face life managing a single
headed family. The escalation of violence has left many
widowed and the irresponsible attitude of men deserting the
family has caused many women to face life alone.
The Self-Employment Centre
gives a training and a livelihood opportunity for these
vulnerable persons in the society to face the challenges of
life with dignity and self-respect.
Soon after the Tsunami
disaster, the Centre begin its support for women and it has
already conducted three such training session.
The participants consist for
30 persons for a six month course from all three
communities.
